Thomastown played St Canice’s in the Roinn A School Football Final. It was held in Nowlan Park. It was an excellent day, especially when you saw the boys come running through the tunnel with pride. They were ready for a good fight. They battled hard and long for 50 minutes. There were some great passes and mighty kicks in that magnificent game of football. Everyone tried their very best, unfortunately St Canice’s got the upper hand. When the match was over, St Canice’s had won but Thomastown kept their heads held high.
It was a great game and an achievement that Thomastown got to the final. Hard luck Thomastown. we’ll get them next year!
