Christmas at St Mary’s

December has been an incredibly busy month at St Mary’s with children and teachers doing Christmas art, practising and performing poems, plays and Christmas carols. Thomastown Girls Strike Gold Again!!

The Roinn A Football Final, November 19th 2014

Under 10’s Camogie Tournament, Sept 2014

After many years of blood, sweat and tears, we are finally ready to reinstate the swimming area at Thomastown Weir.  Thomastown Community River Trust (TCRT) will be holding a final clear up of the site on Thursday 2nd October from 9.00 am so please come along and help if you can (bring garden tools, strimmers etc!).  We plan to flood the swimming area at

Double Delight!

(Written by Alex and Anna Cass) On September 27th, the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final replay was taking place. Róisín O’ Meara from Tipp and myself, Alex Cass, were bringing out the Liam McCarthy cup. First we went into the Tipp dressing room, then the KIlkenny one and of course they weren’t there. U12 Girls Soccer League

Sportsman Award, June 2014

Diarmuid Galway and Eddie Donnelly were awarded ‘Sportsmen of the Year’ for leadership behaviour and good hurling. They reached the Roinn A quarter final to lose to CBS, who they had beaten earlier in the league. Well done to both boys on receiving these outstanding awards.
