Christmas Carol Service, December 2015

Irish Army Delivers Tricolour to St Mary’s, Dec 2015
In order to commemorate the centenary of the 1916 Rising and to celebrate 100 years since the Proclamation of the Irish Republic, Óglaigh na hÉireann delivered a National Flag to our school today, December 14th, 2015. The atmosphere was electric in St Mary’s on Tuesday when Santa arrived on his sleigh being pulled by the one and only Rudolph! We were very lucky that he took time out of his busy preparations to pay our school a visit. He chatted to all the children in the school and gave each child a chocolate treat. Audrey 2, from Little Shop of Horrors, Visits St Mary’s!
The Kilkenny Musical Society presents their 2015 fundraiser, Little Shop Of Horrors from 12th -14th of November (including a matinee performance.) Kyle Jordan….World Handball Champion!!
(written by Kyle Jordan) I won two gold and two silver medals in the world handball championships in Canada. I played in both 40×20 and one wall competitions in the 11 and unders. I beat Mickey Kelly from Galway in the 40×20 finals.
Oscar and Cumhall (Coole) Visit Our School, Sept 2015
The Gardaí brought two Garda horses from the Mounted Support Unit to visit our school last week. The horses and their riders, Graham Greene and Maria Kenny, came to our junior yard where all of the children were allowed to pet the horses, class by class.
