The St. Mary’s under 11 team beat Clara in the final of the Roinn A hurling league on Wednesday, June 14th at Larchfield. After a long season in which the boys went undefeated, they took home the cup in style with a strong win over a very fine Clara team. December was an incredibly busy month at St Mary’s with children and teachers doing Christmas art, practicing and performing poems, plays and Christmas carols for other classes and families. The children also had their annual visit to St Columba’s to sing and play Christmas carols for the residents. We even had a surprise visit from Santa, as he heard our pupils had been so well

The 2016 Cake Sale was a big hit. There were so many fun things to do. Out on the field you could soak Ellie with wet sponges for a small fee. Ms Murphy’s and Ms Tyrrell’s 3rd class participated in GAA Go Games at the pitch in Dunmore on June 2nd. Children from schools in Mullinavat and Ballyhale also attended on the day.
