St. Mary’s Camogie Team Win School’s Final, June 2013

It was Saturday the 15^th of June when St Mary’s girl’s camogie team were playing St Canice’s in Nowlan Park. They were the last finalists of the day. The match started at 3 o’ clock. The starting line up were  

1. Alicia Minogue,  2. Cara Gibbons , 3. Dearbhail O’ Keeffe,  4.Ciara Prendergast  5. Ava Kavanagh,  6.Eva Hynes,  7.Caoimhe Kelly,  Ciara M,  8.Eimear Farrell,  9.Eimear F,  10.Sineád O’ Keeffe,  11.Laura Quigley,  12.Róisín Galway

Laura Quigley was the captain of the team. It was tough in the first half but you know Thomastown….we always come back in the second half!! Thomastown won on the score of 3-7 to   0-4.  Eimear Farrell scored 1-6, Eva Hynes scored 0-1, Laura Quigley  and Róisín Galway scored 1-0 each. There were great celebrations. We all received medals and a KFC as a reward.
