The 2014 Cake Sale was a big hit. There were so many fun things to do. Out on the field you could soak Mr Delahunty with wet sponges for a small fee. You could race your friends in a slow bike race and play basketball. There were hurling and handball targets and shoot at a target in archery. In the prefab there was an Xbox Connect. There were go-karts to race around the roundabout. If you win you get a medal. That’s not all! There was ‘Guess the Teacher’, a raffle, guess how many sweets in the jar and guess the teddy’s name. You could buy slushies, popcorn, jellies, milkshakes, cakes, buns, waffles, candyfloss and ice-creams! The two 6th class teachers, Mr. Delahunty and Mr. Roberts, and their classes worked very hard to organise the big event which took place over two days. The children at St Mary’s were delighted. It was not only fun, it was great fundraising for the school. Well done to everyone who helped make it happen.
